Solar Energy

With the financial climate being nearly as bad as that of our planet, considering Solar Energy could well be considered a shrewd move, as there are currently around 24% of all households in the UK are in fuel poverty. The numbers in fuel poverty can only continue grow as the price of fuel is set to double over the next 5 years. Not only would you save on your energy bills and make a nice little tax free sum (of as much as £1200 in the first year) by selling your excess energy back to the national grid, you will also be reducing your carbon footprint and doing your bit to help the planet.

Solar Panels

More and more people are tuning to solar energy because it’s clean, sustainable and earns a nice return.  The Solar PV (Photovoltaic) technology that is used in Advanced Groups Solar Panels lasts for over 20 years. By which time, the amount of energy generated by them will not only have powered your home it will have returned a nice fee from selling it back to the grid, but effectively it will have paid for itself over and over.

The Government has a scheme called the Feed In Tariff scheme (FIT), which means that you will be paid for the electricity you generate through your solar panel installation, even if you do use it yourself as well as for any electricity you export to the grid. Of course you’ll also save money on your electricity bill, because you’ll be using your own, which is a win-win situation.

FIT’s (feed-in Tariff) agreements areat the moment for 20 years and it offers 14p Kwh for current installations. This is why it is essential to have a reputable company come out and look at what your individual needs are, to help ensure that any additional energy created is exported back to the grid which will generate a further minimum payment of 4.5p and will be paid directly to you. Add to this the savings made from not buying your energy from power companies and the return on your investment increases year-on-year.

Solar IncomeOn average an Advanced Group Solar PV system will return somewhere around 12% Tax free on your investment of course that is per year. A system this size would reduce your carbon emissions by up to 1.3 Tons per year, which is an estimated fuel saving at today’s prices of £7920 (if you use all the power you produce). The big thing is that the savings and income is estimated to be much higher than that of say an ISA or many of the other financial investment products available today.

Remember though, any income you generate from selling the excess electricity you generate back to the national grid is completely 100% tax free and more so, this is guaranteed by the governments feed in tariff scheme (FITS).
